The most effective help for you to make your selection and booking of an accomodation convenient is presumably a useful hotel booking website. Favorably, the Graz Tourist Office offers a rather good online reservation site. As you may not want to take the time to dig out your choice via the above website only, we have in addition prepared a small set of recommended hotels of different categories below, including detailed coordinates and a few hints on their character for your convenience.

Most of the hotels are located in the city center area within 15 minutes walking distance from the workshop location and all are with good and frequent public (tramway or bus) connection to it. In some of these hotels we have secured a block pre-reservation for the period September 16 - 22, 2007, which is held valid until first week of August 2007. These are marked with "block pre-reservation" in the list below; please mention the keyword "UniGraz OPAC3" when making a reservation in one of them. Prices are subject to be changed occasionally by the hotels.

Note that during the week of the OPAC-3 Workshop there will be some other meetings and touristic activity in Graz as well. Thus, in order to ensure that you really get what you want, we encourage you to book as soon as possible. We will do our best to enable a great and successful workshop, and a good time for you during the days; we wish that an uncomfortable accomodation should not "disturb" your stay. The Austria Trend Hotel Europa Graz is centrally located (central main station), and therefore easily accessible by all means of transportation. The inhouse garage with direct access to the hotel is available for the guests. There is a recreation area with outdoor terrace which is the ideal location to relax. The Ibis Graz hotel is located 50 m from the main train station and 12 km from the airport. Within a radius of 3 km you will find the district of the old city, the Schlossberg historic district, as well as the Oper and Schauspielhaus theatres. The Hotel with the restaurant "Hendl-Eck" has rooms with SAT-TV, bath and WC. Guests enjoy the generous breakfast buffet, the friendly atmosphere and in the summer the quiet shadowy beer garden. The Old Town of Graz and the University can easily be reached per foot within 10 minutes.
