On Monday evening, after the first workshop day, a Get-Together Party, kindly co-sponsored by the Austrian Space Agency (ASA), will be the first major social happening. Ample of tasty, typically Styrian, delicacies will await you, and a glas, or more, of excellent wine (among other beverages). After a while a professional live band will add to your entertainment, not only for background music but also to enjoy some good looking dancing sceneries.

An Excursion to the world-famous "Riegersburg" - one of the mightiest and best maintained medieval castles worldwide, which was never ever conquered - and the equally famous countryside of the "Steirische Weinstrassenregion" will be the next major event in the afternoon of Wednesday. Here, hopefully, the dark-blue sky, agreeable temperature, and excellent visibility usual for mid September will surround us when we are amazed by the guides' historical information about the Riegersburg, when we get a practical intro to professional wine tasting at the foot of the Riegersburg, and when we enjoy the unique hilly countryside of Eastern and Southern Styria. In the evening, sitting amidst this beauty in the Restaurant "Hasenwirt" near "Schloss Seggau" above Leibnitz, with the picturesque vineyards of the "Sausaler Weinstrasse" around, we will feast over delightful dishes at the Workshop Dinner and prize-winning wines will round off the pleasures of the table.

On Thursday, a Reception by the Mayor of the City of Graz will take place during lunch break. This Reception by the Mayor, kindly sponsored by the City of Graz, is known from experience for its elegant setting yet cordial atmosphere in the Rathaus (City Hall) and for its well-prepared buffet easily replacing lunch.

Besides these major social events, it is certain that the appeal of the large variety of restaurants and cafes in the workshop (University Campus) and downtown area will invite each one of us to organize or join ad hoc further informal scientific-social-or-whatever events during lunch breaks and in the evenings.
