Get-Together Party
On Monday evening, after the first
workshop day, a Get-Together Party will
be the first major social happening. Ample of tasty delicacies will await you, and a glas, or more, of excellent wine (among
other beverages). The party is planned to take place (like 2003) at the "Meerscheinschlößl".
Excursion and Dinner
In the middle of the week (wednesday afternoon) we will have a guided tour in the Schloss Eggenberg and through the City (Old Town, Kunsthaus, Schloßberg,...). Before that we are invited by the mayor of Graz for a nice and rich buffet in the Rathaus / City Hall.
Knowing that we will have a wonderful sunny day, of course, we will walk in the late afternoon on the top of the Schloßberg. In the recently renovated Schloßbergrestaurant we will have - besides our good dinner - a breathtaking view over the old roofs of the Old Town.
You can leave the Schloßberg either by feet (street, staircase), by funicular or by the Schloßberglift / elevator or you stay over night up there and experience a wonderful sun rise - we will have wonderful weather on thursday too - of course.
So - leave on Wednesday all your heavy bags, laptops, etc... in the hotel and/or in the workshop meeting room, wear comfortable shoes and enjoy Graz!
IROWG-1 - Dinner
For everybody who will participate in the IROWG-1 Workshop: Tables in the KarlFranz are already reserved - you are invited to spend with your colleagues some nice hours (Axel is paying).
The suggestions for the menu will be published on Monday on the "IROWG-information board". Thank you for choosing your favourite Menu until Wednesday!
If you feel like having some more variation after the dinner (and/or after a workshopday) why not trying your luck in bowling or billiards?
Anyway, we hope you will enjoy also the social part of the workshop!
